Adventures in 2016

We stayed 3 nights on  Mana island. Upon my research it, had an appeal because its aspect was such that the south east trade winds will be received without interruption. There is a lagoon in front of a long beach formed by a reef around the island and it is only 45 minutes by boat from Nadi allowing for a timely return to the airport 

We stayed 3 nights on this island.  We went for one last kite in the morning at Caqalai island and boarded  a long boat to Leleuvia island after breakfast. A mere "stones throw" away at just over a couple of km away. It would of been great to actually kite over and get the boat driver to simply take our gear over. If the wind was stronger I'd probably set this as a real option.

I hatched this plan to kite surf in the islands November 2015.  I have a bucket list of islands and places to visit. Kite surfing, along with snorkelling, diving, kayaking and generally having a good time in the warmth whilst home is in the early throes of winter has great appeal. Last year I went to Lombok with a company in Sydney called Kite Power and really enjoyed that. Always wanted to visit Fiji, the air fares were compelling so the choice was made.
